It’s been a long time since I’ve dropped an article about a Saucony Original. I really haven’t been motivated to do so since the company had seemed to given up on creating themed shoe releases this year. Last year Saucony released so many incredible drops that they ran all over the shoes in my top 40 shoes. The brand showed up four times with a variety of themed drops and whether they knew it or not, I drummed up a pretty fair amount of sales for them. I had a few readers write me directly to state they bought a pair after reading something I wrote… (that’s for you Saucony).
I had stopped checking for Saucony and I figured they would continue to pour money into the pockets of Influencers as they did with the Originators series and that my coverage was just free marketing that they didn’t care about or respect. Then I remembered, I do this for the culture. When I get a chance to share a brand that isn’t “mainstream” I have to share. It doesn’t matter if I’m acknowledged or shown love by a company as long as people who enjoy the sneaker culture realize that there is some dope footwear being created by other brands. So I checked in on Saucony and forgave them for the poor excuse for a Pink Devil release because this Oktoberfest Shadow 6000 gets us back to the premium dopeness that is Saucony:

This is what it looks like when a brand goes all in on design. This is why I had to remind myself to visit Saucony; because if I didn’t you wouldn’t know that this shoe was available and I don’t need to get paid to share dope shit, cause sharing is what dope people do.
